Regular Board Meeting Notes
June 17, 2024, at 7pm
Prospect School - Media Center

Joyce Dierking as acting chair called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Attending: Lon Stockebrand, Clay Thomas, Bob Scott and Joyce Dierking

Also Attending: Chief Lyle Neville and community members.

Approval of May Minutes (Joyce Dierking) – Clay made a motion for approval of minutes, Lon seconded it, passed 4-0.

Resolution to approve the Budget for FY 24-25 Lon made a motion to approve, Clay seconded the motion all in favor 4-0

The finance report for May was delivered to board members by Bob Jones. Lon made a motion to accept the financial report, Clay seconded the motion. All in favor 4-0.

Lyle delivered the Chief’s report.

The State Ethics Board final report was discussed. No charges were brought by the state. The origin of the complaint report was discussed. A board member filed a complaint against 3 other board members. Clay Thomas requested that the minutes show he disagrees with the wording on the agenda.

Appointment of Board Members was discussed. Joyce explained how the County would fill the open position. A letter was presented and signed by Lon, Clay and Joyce and delivered to the County ( Chris Walker) regarding Bob Scott’s appointment. The Board agreed to sign an additional letter when the County makes it’s selection. Joyce will coordinate getting the signatures on that letter. Clay made a motion to accept this agreement, Lon seconded the agreement. All in favor 4-0

Levy Committee update, Melissa Taylor and Doreen Orner will chair this committee. .

Lon made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Bob. All in favor to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:38.
